Pateley Bridge
Ok so here are the first few - these are taken from Pateley Bridge in the Yorkshire Dales - near Harrotgate. My family have a static caravan here which is surrounded by great walks and scenery - see below. More about Pateley Bridge here.
Red gate - entrance to my grandad's headmaster's old house!
Not too sure if this is designed to fit in with its surroundings? Works well though.
Looking over the farmers fields. Sun setting in the background.
Does it get more tranquil than this?
Nice angle of old steep wall,
These things last for years - imagine the work involved in creating them in such remote areas.
Pateley Bridge from south-west aspect - overlooking buttercups field.
Nice effect with the shadow of the sunset on the field.
This taken of river Nidd, just before it travels under the bridge.
Also the spot where my Dad was dragged into the river by our Dog!
Mine and Hannah's shadows cast over the river running under the bridge.
Trying to be artistic!
Small town square with various shops
Very well maintained - couldn't shift the old guys out of the way though!
The recently built band stand
Never seen a band play here yet - seems to be more interest in the playground near it
The town's war memorial - with the infamous playground in the background
Yet another attraction that is muted by the playground!
The oldest sweetshop in England!
If its not the playground that you are enjoying, then its this! All the best sweets under one roof - paradise!
